Dr. Sriram Venkatesh is presently working as Professor in the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, University College of Engineering, Osmania University. He has 26 years of Teaching and 2 years of industrial and research experience. His research areas of interest are Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing), Bulk Solids Handling, Design of Bins, Bunkers and Silos, Computer Aided Modelling, Design & Analysis, and CAD/CAM. Presently he is the Principal, University College of Engineering (Autonomous) and Nodal Officer RUSA 2.0 of Osmania University. Previously he served as Controller of Examinations, Coordinator TEQIP –II and III, Director, University Foreign Relations Office (UFRO), Director, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Osmania University, Director, University Guest House, Chairman, Board of Studies in Mechanical Engineering, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Director of Evaluation, Examination Cell, University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Additional Controller of Examinations, Osmania University, Chairman, Board of Studies in Mechanical Engineering, and Assistant Chief Warden for Engineering Hostels, Osmania University. He is Doctoral committee member and member board of studies of various Universities and Engineering Colleges.

He has published 110 Papers in various International and National Journals and Conferences. He has also done many research and consultancy projects in 3D printing. To his credit, he has won many awards, honours and recognitions like Sir Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya Award by the Government of Telangana and the Institution of Engineers (India), Telangana State Centre on 15th September, 2021, State Level Best Teacher Award by Government of Telangana on 5th September, 2019, Engineer of the Year Award jointly awarded by the Government of Telangana and the Institution of Engineers (India), Telangana State Centre in September, 2016, Career Award for Young Teachers” by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, in 2002 and Distinguished Alumnus Award by KITS Warangal in December, 2016, as the Director of Centre for Prototyping and Testing of Industrial Products (CPTIP), received the award “Academic Research Award of Excellence” to CPTIP by Additive Manufacturing Society of India, Bangalore. His Biographical profile is listed in the 22nd Edition (2005) of Marquis Who’s Who in the World published from USA. He has visited many countries like Australia, USA, Germany, Thailand, Singapore, Austria, France, UAE,Kenya and Israel.

He is a member of various professional bodies like Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India), Life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Indian Society of Mechanical Engineers (ISME) and Tribology Society of India (TSI) affiliated to International TSI. He has delivered 80 guest lecturers and 10 Keynote addresses in various UGC & AICTE refresher courses, conferences, in house training programs of prestigious organizations like BHEL (R&D), DMRL, BITS Pilani, ESCI etc. Under his supervision, 7 scholars were awarded PhDs and 9 are in progress.
